Federal University of Goiás launches exclusive training program for refugees and immigrants

The Federal University of Goiás (UFG), through the Sérgio Vieira de Mello Chair - CSVM - at UFG and in collaboration with the University of Cagliari (UNICA) and the organization Lead Impact, has initiated the Social Sciences Training Program, exclusively for refugees and immigrants. The program's launch took place this Monday (6/24).

Present at the event were the Pro-Rector of Graduate Studies at UFG, Felipe Terra, the Director of FCS, Luiz Mello, the Secretary of Affirmative Action Policies, Luciana Dias, Andréa Vettorassi, coordinator of the Sérgio Vieira de Mello Chair at the university, and Carlo Patti, professor and project manager in partnership with UNICA.

The program offers 10 graduate-level master's positions, including material support such as tablets and books, and allows for the possibility of two participants being selected to attend a course in Italy, with a 24-month scholarship.

This program is part of CSVM's ongoing efforts to promote inclusion and access to higher education for vulnerable populations and reaffirms the institution's commitment to diversity and equal opportunities.
